Garston lost to Worcester BC in the quarter finals of the Top Club at Worthing by 2 rinks to 3.

National Top Club(Men’s)-5th August

Garston have been drawn against Worcester BC in the quarter finals of the Top Club at Worthing at 2.30 pm on Tuesday 16th August

Garston go to Worthing-1st August

Garston won the Area play offs in the National Top Club against Romford last night with a nail biting finish. Needing to win the fours and one down on the last end Garston were holding three with the Romford skip requiring a draw for them to qualify. He was two foot short and Garston won by 3 rinks to 2.

They are now through to the final eight at Worthing with the first match on Tuesday 16th August at 2.30 pm

County Top Team-31st July

Garston won their first trophy this season by beating Roebuck in a very dramatic finish in the semi finals and then went on to beat Harpenden 4 - 0 in the final.

Big Weekend ahead for the Men-28th July

Saturday 30th at 10 am Garston play Roebuck BC at Welwyn & District BC in the semi-finals of the County Top Team and if successful play in the finals at Shire Park BC in the afternoon. On Sunday at 1.30 pm Martin Coles and Gary Edwards play in the County pairs final at Welwyn & District BC and then at 6 pm Garston play Romford in the Area play-offs of the National Top Club at Garston, winners go to Worthing in the final 8.

Garston play Romford BC at home in the Area play-offs on Sunday 31st July at 6.00 pm

County Top Team-18th July

After a successful morning Garston followed with a 4 rinks to 0 win against Potten End to reach the Semi Finals to be played on Saturday 30th July at either Welwyn & District BC or Welwyn Garden City BC.

National Top Club(Men’s)-17th July

Garston qualify for the Area Play-offs (last 16) after beating Kent Athletic Bowls Club this morning  by 4 rinks to 1. They play Romford at home.

St George’s Social-27th March

St George’s Social on Saturday 23rd April at the Clubhouse. Starts at 7.00 pm food and drink available. £2.50 a head.

Subs Night-27th March

Subs Night is on 1st April at the Clubhouse from 7 pm to 8.30 pm. Come and meet us and see what is happening this year. Refreshment available.

Bowls Provision-18th January

Last night the Council’s Cabinet agreed to put to the full council next week our proposal to maintain our own green. This proposal is in conjunction with Watford (Cassio) and North Watford Bowls Clubs. Update next week.

Audrey Shuttleworth has been elected the President for 2011.

W&DLBA  League-23rd August

Ladies win their league for the second year running, they play Bushey BC in the final.

Presentation Dinner-18th August

Presentation Dinner this year is at Bushey Police Sports Club on Friday 19th November, 6.30 for 7.00 pm Tickets cost £25.00 each. Guests welcome.

‘Call My Bluff’ Evening-18th August

‘Call My Bluff’ Evening has been re-arranged for Friday 3rd September, Sausage and Mash Supper at 7.00 pm followed by ‘Call My Bluff’. Tables of six, tickets £7.50 per person. To book see poster at clubhouse or contact Social Secretary.

Men's National Top Club-2nd August

Garston beat Bounds Green BC in the semi finals 3-2, but lost in the Finals to Southsea Waverley BC in the afternoon 2-3

Men's County Finals-31st July

Michael Coles wins the Under 30s final and Jon Head, Mark Yelland and Martin Coles win the Triples final at Met Police Bushey today. The triples will also represent the County in the National Championships at Worthing on Wednesday 18th August and in the Eastern Counties BA Semi Final on Saturday 18th September.

Men's National Top Club-28th July

Garston go to Oxford City & County BC on Sunday 1st August to compete in the Regional Finals. They meet Bounds Green BC in the semi’s at 9.30 am

Men's v Croxley-23rd July

The men’s game against Croxley has been cancelled. A fun game of Australian Pairs will be run instead. Casual wear is acceptable. Food available at a small charge. Meet at about 2 pm.

Men beat Maulden BC to reach the Regional Stage with their semi-final game against Bounds Green BC at the Oxford City and County BC on Sunday 1st August at 9.30 am
